The canal walk represents the axial framework from the 1977 masterplan and was designed as a major pedestrian artery through and within the campus. The current proposals aim to maximise the potential of the existing qualities of the canal, aspect and location within the centre of the campus, by creating a high quality environment that expresses the character of the area and provides a rich experience for those who work, study and visit there.
